Quick Start Guide
eNewsletter Module

Email Newsletters are a great way to generate repeat business. The Pro Edition’s eNewsletter Module interacts with site data tables, the Forms Library, and Page Editor to make it easy to send and manage newsletter campaigns.

The content for this eNewsletter will be identical to that of the “July Widget News” page you created earlier. If you wish the Super Widget Shopping Cart Object to be included in the newsletter, place it on the “July Widget News” page in the same way that you placed it on the “Products” page.

Next, open the “Newsletter Signup” page in the Page Editor and drag the Sign-Up object (upper left) into the Content Area, which will open a new window. Choose the “Quick-N-Dirty” form from the drop-down box under “Choose the form you wish to use on this page.” Leave the other options unchanged, and click Accept (upper-right). Preview the page and then submit the form, making sure that you give it your correct email address and specify HTML as your preferred format. After you have successfully submitted the form, return to the Main Menu and click on eNewsletter.

From the eNewsletter Module, follow these steps to send your eNewsletter:

1) Click Create New Campaign

2) Name the campaign “July Widget News” and select the “UDT_MY_NEWSLETTER” data table from the drop-down.

3) Click on the Next button at the lower-right

4) Select FIRST_NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, and EMAIL_TYPE from drop-down boxes A, B, and C, respectively.

5) Click Next

6) Type “A-1 Widgets” and July “Widget News“ into the From email address and Subject Line fields.

7) Click Next

8) Select Default_Newsletter_Template.html from the A drop down box

9) Select “July Widget News” from the B drop-down

10) Click Next

11) Click on Create Campaign, and then on Campaign Manager

You may now preview and send your example newsletter from the campaign manager, where information regarding its effectiveness and status will appear once it is sent.
